What impact has GADA had on our scholars and where are they in #GameAudio now? Here’s what #GameSoundCon 2024 scholar Yi-Fan Chen, Lead Composer at Bolero Game Studio, has to say:
“Being part of the GADA Scholars program has honestly meant so much to me—more than I expected at first. Of course, getting to attend events like GameSoundCon gave me access to incredible industry talks and learning opportunities, but what’s stuck with me the most is the community itself. GADA is full of people who just get it—who share similar backgrounds, values, and experiences. I’ve made so many meaningful friendships, and every time I join a gathering, I walk away feeling recharged and supported, both creatively and personally.
As the Lead Composer at Bolero Game Studio, I’m currently working on Old & Gray, a narrative-driven game featuring interactive music systems. In addition, I’m composing for several indie titles, including Cyber Paradise, Elissa, Dream of Things, and The Real Face of a VTuber. Cyber Paradise, a roguelite action game, was recently selected as an official selection for the London Games Festival; and Elissa, a visual novel, was just officially selected by ChinaJoy 2025 and will be showcased in Shanghai this summer.”
